Mobilization of women in Ukraine is not being conducted, prepared, or considered. This is stated in an official statement dated August 25, published by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Office.
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence officially reported that there are no legislative initiatives, draft laws, or even internal discussions regarding the mobilization of women.
It is emphasized that women in Ukraine join the Defense Forces exclusively on a voluntary basis.
It is added that statements by individual speakers who publicly speculate on this topic do not reflect actual legislative work or the Committee's position.
Ukrainians are urged not to fall for manipulation and to use only official sources of information.
We remind you that earlier in Ukraine three separate electronic petitions were registered , the authors of which call on the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada to significantly change the approach to women fulfilling their military duty during martial law. The initiators propose to extend mobilization to women without children, equalize conscription rules for both sexes, and introduce mandatory military training.
