The flow of migrants to Lviv fell from sixty to ten thousand people a day, and according to the State Border Guard Service, there are almost no queues at the borders. This was announced by Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi on the national air, Ukrayinska pravda reports.

«We accepted everyone who needed help. Today, there are already more than 200 thousand of them. If there is a tragedy, we will, of course, accept more. We have rebuilt all our schools, gyms, theatres – they are all now accepting temporarily displaced persons,» – Sadovyi said.

According to the mayor, currently, about 10 thousand people pass through the Lviv railway station, while in the beginning, their number was up to 60 thousand. There is good coordination with the cities of the Lviv region and other cities of Western Ukraine.

Sadovyi also noted that last year, Lviv took part in the Resilience Resident project, which was to prepare cities for emergencies, so there was a «margin of safety,» and there is still a supply of medicines, but it is difficult to provide products for free.

We will add that according to the State Border Guard Service, as of the morning of March 20, the flow of vehicles at the borders has stabilised. Almost 50,000 people left Ukraine last night. More than 45,000 of them crossed the border on the Ukrainian-Polish section. As of 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 20, there were almost no queues in front of checkpoints to leave Ukraine. There were 5 buses on the Rava-Ruska border with Poland, and there were 200 pedestrians in Shehyni.

At the same time, more than 21,000 people arrived in Ukraine in one day. More than 17,000 of them are Ukrainians, the vast majority of whom are men. In total, more than 334,000 citizens have returned to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s open aggression.
