In Mariupol, which was temporarily captured by the occupiers, a guy with a Ukrainian flag went to the square near the Drama Theater bombed by the Russian troops. The Mariupol City Council announced this by publishing a photo.

«Even occupied Mariupol does not surrender. The young man went to the square near the Drama Theater bombed by the occupiers with the flag of Ukraine. It’s real courage to do this, when even speaking Ukrainian can put you in the basement,» – the message says.

The city council added that tens of thousands of people still cannot leave the city, but they are waiting and dreaming that soon Mariupol will be Ukrainian again.

We will remind that the Russians dropped a powerful bomb on the Mariupol Drama Theater on March 16. It was a shelter for about a thousand refugees who lost their homes. Many residents of Mariupol hid in the theatre with small children. The private American company Maxar Technologies has released satellite images showing large inscriptions in Russian «children» on the ground near the Drama Theater in Mariupol, where the Russian military dropped a bomb on March 16.

According to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, 130 people were rescued from the rubble. And the day before, Italy announced that it is ready to rebuild the theater in Mariupol, which was destroyed by Russian troops. In addition, residents of the Left Bank district began to be deported en masse to the territory of Russia.
