«Russia 24» TV channel aired a story about Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi preparing his children for war with Moscow. «Vesti.RU» also wrote about this, as one of Lviv’s blogs in Telegram reports.
«On the social network, the official posted a photo report about a trip to the shooting range in Ivano-Frankivsk and wrote in a comment that this is a good opportunity to learn how to handle weapons and improve skills. He stressed that such skills are important for every Ukrainian, so long as there is such a neighbour like Russia,» – the TV channel said in a story about Andriy Sadovyi’s post on Facebook from 5 January this year.
The mayor wrote that as part of the development of territorial defence with children, he visited the sports and shooting range «SVD Legion» in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
According to him, this is a good opportunity to learn or refresh your skills in handling weapons.
«It was a useful and effective time. Our boys tried to shoot for the first time and learned basic knowledge. As long as we have a neighbour like Moscow, these skills, in my opinion, are mandatory for every Ukrainian, « he wrote.
We will remind that as Russia pumps tension near Ukrainian borders, the concept of territorial defence was approved in Ukraine. Read the Lviv Now’s public discussion about the city’s defence capability, and the material of Lviv’s strategy to engage civilians in military affairs.
