«We came to Lviv with a temporary exhibition during a difficult time of war, so that children could be distracted and immerse into the world of science,» – museum manager Maria Dubrova explains in a comment to Lviv Now. According to her, the museum will stay here until victory. Maybe longer – it will depend on how the cooperation develops.

There are seven halls in the museum. Six with exhibits of the Small Academy of Sciences and another with exhibits of the Odesa Museum of Interesting Science and Virtual Reality.

The first allows you to «play» with mirrors and get acquainted with the various phenomena they demonstrate. For example, see endless reflections or take a selfie in a kaleidoscope. In the next hall, physical phenomena await visitors. Here, you can understand how gravity works, look at lenses and learn more about sound propagation.

In other halls, you can build roller coasters, explore human anatomy and get acquainted with the great inventions of mankind. For example, make an architectural arch and feel why such structures hold ancient and majestic buildings.

The museum also has a book area, which collected the best children’s books of 2021 according to BaraBooka. Museum plans to hold readings for children and meetings with writers on Saturdays.

The Museum of Interesting Science in Odesa occupies a separate room here. To get to it, you need to go through the yard. There is a table full of puzzles, a chair with nails that you can sit on, an interactive floor and more. In the same room, you can play in virtual reality with glasses and joysticks.

Although the museum’s exposition is adapted for children of primary school age, the organizers assure that it will be interesting for everyone. The museum creates a space where you can come with your family and have a good time.

Entrance to the museum is free, but organizers ask to pre-register on the website of the Small Academy of Sciences and get a free ticket. Rooms with exhibits have limited space, so registration helps to avoid crowds. On the site, you can also view the schedule of events, register for museum classes and scientific shows. If there are not many people in the halls, visitors can be admitted without registration.

In addition, the museum plans to hold scientific shows. You can follow the events on the website, here you can also get a free entrance ticket.
