Ukrainian pilots have launched the initiative called «Buy me a fighter jet» («BUYMEAFIGHTERJET»). As part of this campaign, anyone can become an investor in the purchase of combat aircraft for the Air Force of the Armed Forces. This was announced on April 20, during a briefing by Yurii Nazaruk, one of the initiators of the project and co-founder of the brand «Aviatsiya Halychyny».
«When we saw the initiative of the flight crew, we could not remain indifferent. At the same time, combat pilots who came up with such an initiative cannot search for and buy such aircraft, so we have set up a charity fund,» – he said.

According to him, the newly created fund allows to find the necessary planes, raise funds for various accounts and then buy them. The key point, adds Yurii Nazaruk, is that everyone is given the opportunity to become investors, which was not the case before. In the future, the fund will work to meet the needs of the Air Force of the Armed Forces during and after the war.
«Our Ministry of Defense is doing everything to get planes from partner countries, but there is a big policy behind it: some are afraid, some are in doubt. And we give private investors the opportunity to do it on a human footing – to buy this plane and transfer it or some to the balance of the Ukrainian Air Force,» – he added.
According to one of the pilots who spoke during the live broadcast, the Armed Forces of Ukraine need new and modernized aircraft. He adds that Ukrainian forces will cope and be able to capture them.
