Last night, the enemy fired a missile at the infrastructure facility of the Lviv Railway regional branch in the Yavoriv district. This was announced by the head of the Lviv regional state administration Maksym Kozytskyi.

According to preliminary information, missiles flew from the east. Explosion damaged the railway infrastructure. No injuries or deaths were reported. 

As Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi reported, in one of the villages of the Yavoriv district, the missile wreckage partially damaged the railway infrastructure. Windows were blown out in the surrounding houses. This happened in a 20-kilometre zone to the border with the European Union.

No missile landed in Lviv.

«The air defence forces worked well. So we don’t know if our city was the target this time. It is difficult to predict what will happen next,» – said the mayor.

According to him, the night attack was one of the largest in the Lviv region in terms of the number of missiles.

We will remind that last night, air alarm in the area was declared twice – at 00.25 and 03.32 o’clock. During the first alarm, around 00.50, several explosions were heard. Air defence units of the Air Command «West» of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down three cruise missiles.

In the previous months, several attacks took place in the city and the Lviv region. On March 13, the enemy launched an air strike on the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security in the Yavoriv district. The blows came from the Black and Azov Seas. The planes took off at Saratov airport. In total, the occupiers fired more than 30 missiles. The Ukrainian air defence system worked. Part of the missiles were shot down in the air by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The rocket strike killed 35 people and injured 134.

On March 18, several explosions took place near the airport in Lviv. The occupiers aimed at the aircraft repair plant and destroyed the buildings. The active work of the plant was stopped in advance. The «West» Air Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the occupiers fired six missiles at the area near Lviv airport, but two of them were shot down by the Ukrainian military. As a result of the attack, one person was seriously injured.

On March 26, there were three more powerful explosions near Lviv from Kryvchytsi. New missile strikes on Lviv have caused significant damage to infrastructure.

On April 18, explosions erupted in Lviv. There were 5 aimed missile strikes in the city. The enemy inflicted three blows on military infrastructure, which were unused warehouses. Another blow was at the car service station. Eleven people were injured in missile attacks in Lviv that day. Among them is 3-year-old Artem, who came with his mother from Kharkiv.

On April 25, in the Lviv region, the Russians also struck at the Lviv region, causing two fires. In particular, there was a missile strike on the Krasne railway station.
