In Lviv Oblast, starting Monday, October 12, the procedure for notifying the population of the threat of air attack will change. The "Air raid alert" signal will be differentiated depending on the nature of the threat - into yellow and red levels. About this reported  the regional military administration.

Which signals will sound

The "Air raid alert" signal will consist of the sound signal "Attention everyone" and a short voice message indicating the threat level - "yellow level" or "red level".

Yellow level will be announced in case of a threat of strike drones. This signal will be transmitted in a differentiated manner by districts of the region.

The message will last 30 seconds and will be repeated three times.

Red level will be set in case of a missile, missile-drone or massed drone threat. In this case, the signal will sound simultaneously across the entire territory of Lviv Oblast.

The message about the red level will last one minute and will be repeated twice.

The procedure for announcing the all-clear will also change. The "End of air raid alert" signal will be delivered only by voice message, without the sound signal "Attention everyone".

The all-clear message will last 20 seconds and will be repeated twice.

As a reminder, on September 2, "Your City" reported that Ukraine was planning to change its air threat alert system. It was proposed to introduce two alert levels: yellow - in case of drone attacks, and red - during missile threats, including ballistic, or massed attacks. It was also planned to differentiate signals by territory so that warnings would reach primarily those areas where the threat directly exists.
