Belarusian opposition leader in exile Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya arrived in Kyiv on May 25 for her first official visit. This is reported reported by European Pravda, citing the politician's official social media pages.
Tsikhanouskaya began her visit to the capital by visiting the Lukyanivske Military Cemetery, where 24-year-old Belarusian volunteer and activist Maria Zaytseva, who died in Donbas, is buried.
"It was very important for me to start this visit by honoring the memory of a person who gave her life for the freedom of Ukraine and Belarus," she wrote.

According to European Pravda, Tsikhanouskaya's visit includes planned meetings with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiga, the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, and EU diplomats.
The Mission of Democratic Forces of Belarus in Ukraine is also set to open in Kyiv.
It should be noted that last week the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine designated an official responsible for interaction with the Belarusian opposition. Prior to this, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga held a meeting with Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
