A flock of pink flamingos is already welcoming spring at their traditional chalk lake near the Central Entrance. The birds have filled the sandy coast and started active outdoor walks, marking the first stage of the great spring relocation of the zoo's inhabitants. This is reported by the KP "Kyiv Zoo".
Experts note that the birds are feeling well and have already adapted to natural light after the winter period. You can see the exotic birds every day, but the administration reminds visitors of the need to follow safety rules and the ticket office schedule during martial law.
For visitors planning to see the flamingos' signature "exercise," the following conditions apply:
— entry to the zoo is allowed until 16:00, and staying on the premises until 17:30;
— ticket offices are open on Monday from 12:00 to 16:00, and from Tuesday to Sunday — from 10:00 to 16:00;
— during an air raid alert, visitors must immediately move to a shelter;
— the flock is located near the entrance, allowing visitors to see the birds immediately upon entering the facility.

"With cheerful honking, the birds filled the sandy coast and coastal water, where they began their signature 'exercise' in the open air", — noted the municipal enterprise, inviting Kyiv residents to admire the graceful inhabitants.
The facility's administration urges city residents to be cautious and remember their own safety during walks. Pink flamingos were the first to open the summer exhibition season, and soon other heat-loving animals will begin to come out to the open areas.
