A new phase of exhumation will begin in the territories of the former villages of Ostrivky and Volya Ostrovetska (now within the Rivne rural community of Kovel district, Volyn region). This was reported by the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance (UINP).
Already on Monday, July 13, research will be conducted for the purpose of exhumation and subsequent reburial of the remains of the residents of the mentioned villages who died in August 1943.
According to the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, the research will be carried out by the limited liability company "Specialized Institution 'Volyn Antiquities'" with the participation of Polish specialists: employees of the Institute of National Remembrance of the Republic of Poland and the Medical University of Wrocław.

The work will continue until August 7.

Incidentally, the research is being carried out in fulfillment of agreements reached as a result of the activities of the Ukrainian-Polish working group on national memory.
