Rest in the Carpathians is one of the most popular ways to recharge for residents of Lviv region and all of Ukraine. However, if you are just starting to explore mountain trails or are planning a trip with children, it is not advisable to choose difficult multi-day climbs.
"Your City" has prepared a selection of easy and picturesque mountain peaks and polonynas of the Carpathians, which are ideal for a family outing or a first trip.

The route is well-marked and suitable for family recreation.
2. Mount Trotsyan (Lviv region)
Height: 1,232 m
Ascent time: 1.5–2.5 hours (or by cable car)

3. Mount Khomyak
Height: 1,542 m
Ascent time: 2–3 hours
Difficulty: easy
Although Khomyak is a rather high peak, the ascent is not difficult at all. It is one of the most popular and best options for a first ascent. The summit offers a panorama of Chornohora, Svydovets, and the surrounding polonynas.
4. Mount Kostrycha
Height: 1,586 m
Ascent time: 2–3 hours
Difficulty: easy
Thanks to the convenient start from the Kryvopil pass, the ascent to the Kostrycha ridge is smooth and not difficult. The trail passes through forest sections and open meadows, making it comfortable for children and the elderly.
5. Mount Kukul
