Ukrzaliznytsia has temporarily withdrawn tickets for sale for certain dates and routes. The reason for this decision was systematic Russian attacks on railway infrastructure, which forced the company to change routes, schedules, and logistics.

In "Ukrzaliznytsia" reported, that the last week was one of the most difficult for the company due to Russian attacks on railway infrastructure. In just five days, the Russian Federation attacked the railway 41 times. As a result of the shelling, 11 locomotiveswere damaged, and passengers had to be evacuated from trains 350 times.

Russian attacks also claimed the lives of six railway workers.

During the night attack on August 5, 8 people who were on a railway platform died in the Brovary district. Railway facilities in Dnipropetrovsk region were also under shelling. As a result of the strike on warehouses in Kyiv region, another 17 employees were injured.

Also, due to infrastructure damage, passenger service on certain routes had to be changed.

"Due to the recent Russian attacks, which led to the death of our railway workers, damage and destruction of locomotives, wagons, and railway infrastructure, we are now rapidly rebuilding logistics and travel schedules. That is why sales for certain dates and routes from August 27 are closed. As soon as we finalize the possibility of operating the route and all necessary technological solutions, we will open sales. We cannot honestly say when this will happen now ", - reported in "Ukrzaliznytsia".

How to find out when tickets will be available

Passengers waiting for tickets to go on sale are advised to enable notifications in the "Ukrzaliznytsia" app. The user will receive a message as soon as tickets for the desired route become available for purchase.

"Please set up a notification for sales opening in the Ukrzaliznytsia app, it will notify you in the first second as soon as tickets become available. Given this, we ask you to give us a little time. A huge number of railway workers are currently doing everything possible so that movement does not stop after enemy attacks and passengers continue to travel", - reported in "Ukrzaliznytsia".

At the same time, it is worth considering that the time of opening sales may change due to the security situation and the condition of the railway infrastructure.

Also, "Ukrzaliznytsia" urged passengers during massive Russian attacks not to stay near railway facilities. The company emphasized that in such cases, it is advisable to go to shelters if they are nearby, or to move to a safe distance from railway infrastructure and not to remain in crowds of people in open areas.

During massive attacks, train movement in regions that may become targets of Russian troops is promptly stopped for passenger safety.

We remind you that from August 1, a new international night train service between Przemyśl and Frankfurt (Main) began operating. The new route will facilitate travel between Ukraine and Germany thanks to convenient transfers from Ukrzaliznytsia trains.
