French architect and urban planner Martin Duplantier believes that part of the border procedures for international trains could be carried out in Lviv. He said this during a meeting «Your City» about how to develop Lviv as a transport hub.
As an example, he cited the Gare du Nord station in Paris, where passengers undergo British customs and passport control directly at the station before boarding trains to Great Britain. According to him, a similar model could be applied in Lviv, provided there is an intergovernmental agreement with Poland.
