In the conditions of a full-scale war, photos and videos from the railway may contain information that is of interest to the enemy and creates security risks. This is reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.
It is noted that railway transport is classified by law as a sub-sector of railway transport within the transport and postal sector of critical infrastructure. This is defined by the Law of Ukraine "On Critical Infrastructure" and Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1109.
They add that in such cases, they take immediate measures to stop them. If necessary, law enforcement officers are called to the scene, and information about the violators is transferred to the relevant authorities for a legal assessment of their actions and bringing the guilty parties to justice.
If, during filming, information about the movement of military personnel, equipment, or weaponry by rail is captured – dissemination of such materials may result in criminal liability, up to 8 years of imprisonment.
