A mobile concrete plant was launched to repair streets in Lviv. The installation operates on the basis of the road repair enterprise, but it can also be used by the three more similar enterprises of Lviv. This will make it possible to speed up and reduce the cost of laying paving stones, installing curbs or laying tiles in the city. Oleksandr Odynets, director of the housing and infrastructure department of the Lviv City Council, said this in a comment to Lviv Now.
According to him, the installed mobile concrete-mixing plant works in automatic mode with the help of software settings, so it allows more accurate dosing of materials and admixtures during production and improves the quality of the mixture.
«We have the opportunity to produce concrete and cement-sand mixtures for road works, in particular, for the arrangement of paving stones, installation of curbstone, paving tiles. Earlier, utility companies purchased such material, but now we manufacture it ourselves. According to our calculations, this will save about 20-30% of the cost of these materials, instead of updating the technical and material base,» – the official said.

The productivity of such a mobile plant is 8 cubic meters of concrete or cement-sand mixture per hour. It also improves the logistics and rhythm of repairs.
«Previously, we started capital or ongoing repair work on a section of a certain street or sidewalk. Then, the road-repair enterprise machine went to the base of a private company. Since there was a rush, it had to wait in line for concrete or cement-sand mixture. Now, everything is concentrated at the base, there is no need to go anywhere,» – he adds.
The cost of equipment and launching of a mobile concrete plant is about UAH 2 million. The installation was purchased with the funds of the road-repair enterprise of the Halytskyi district.
We would like to remind you that in Lviv, repairs have been resumed on Pylypa Orlyka Street. Another section of the renovated Shevchenka Street was also opened. In addition, potholes were recently repaired and cobblestones laid on part of Lypneva Square in Lviv.
