One-tenth of Ukrainians agree to cede territory to the Russian Federation in order to end the war, but for the vast majority, namely 84% of citizens, territorial concessions are unacceptable. This is evidenced by the results of a public opinion survey conducted on July 6-20 by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
«For 84% of respondents, no territorial concessions are acceptable. Only 10% believe that in order to achieve peace and preserve independence, it’s possible to give up some territories. Compared to May, the mood of the population remained practically unchanged,» – they explain.
It is noteworthy that in all regions of Ukraine, the absolute majority of the population opposes any territorial concessions. For example, among residents of the East, which is currently experiencing intense fighting, 77% are against concessions (ready for concessions – only 16%), among residents of the South – 82% are against concessions (ready – only 10%).
