In Ukraine, there are still about 20% of those who changed their place of residence after February 24. Most of them are among residents of the east (58%). Only 10% do not intend to return to their native homes (3% in April, 8% in June). This was evidenced by the survey data of the «Rating» sociological group, conducted on July 23-24, 2022.

At the same time, 16% said they would return in the near future, 18% – will return, though a little later. 50% said they intend to return, but only if the war ends, and their number is gradually increasing.

In general, 73% of respondents believe that things in Ukraine are moving in the right direction. 12% are of the opposite opinion, another 15% could not decide. There is a gradual decrease in the number of those who assess the direction of the country’s development as correct in favor of those who are undecided in their assessments. In all regions and among all age groups, the assessment of the direction as correct continues to dominate. Differences in views are visible in terms of property distribution: among the poorest, they are somewhat worse (63% consider the direction of development to be correct).

We would add that the survey was conducted among the population of Ukraine aged 18 and older in all regions, except for the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas, as well as territories where there is no Ukrainian mobile communication at the moment of the survey. The results are weighted using current data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. The sample is representative in terms of age, gender and type of settlement. The sample population is 1000 respondents. The survey method is telephone interviews with the use of a computer. The error of representativeness of the study with a confidence probability of 0.95: no more than 3.1%.
