Ukrainian-American IT company SoftServe, which has its head office in Lviv, announced the purchase of 29 ambulances and equipment for them. In addition, the company’s employees donated another 2 million hryvnias to the «Open Eyes» corporate charity fund, involved in the project. These funds will be spent on medical care for the hottest spots on the frontline. This was reported by the press service of Lviv Regional Military Administration (RMA).

So far, the foundation has already purchased 8 cars and equipment for them, in particular, defibrillators, patient monitors, ventilators, and medicines. Ambulance vehicles are bought in Germany, France, Great Britain and the Netherlands. A team of company volunteers, who decided to voluntarily support the project, is working on their transportation and packaging.

In particular, doctors from the Netherlands, Germany and Ukraine advise on the necessary medical equipment, specialists at the service station repaint cars, and a group of drivers helps transport ambulances from abroad.

«Hundreds of our defenders are wounded every day in the war. Their lives depend on how quickly they can be helped and transported to a hospital or field hospital. Softserve turned 29 years old in July, and instead of loud celebrations, the company allocated money for what is really important now – the rescue of our defenders,» – says Victoria Mishchuk, director of the «Open Eyes» charitable foundation.

The purchase of ambulances is carried out by the Softserve company within the framework of the «1000 cars of freedom» initiative of the head of Lviv RMA Maksym Kozytskyi. The first 8 ambulances are already ready to go to the hottest spots of the frontline, and in the near future the Fund plans to purchase another 21 vehicles.

It should be noted that the «Open Eyes» charitable foundation has been helping Ukrainian defenders since 2014. Since February 24 this year, the fund has provided humanitarian aid in the amount of about UAH 100 million. These funds were jointly collected by SoftServe, employees, partners and clients of the company in Ukraine and abroad, as well as everyone who cares. To date, the fund has purchased and transferred more than 320 tons of humanitarian aid, 2,800 units of computer equipment, more than 23,000 packages of medicines and medical supplies, and more than 15,000 units of personal protection for those who defend Ukraine.
