The "Scan UA" volunteer initiative has created a website with the scanned models of the monuments of Ukrainian heritage, buildings, and military equipment damaged during the full-scale invasion. For this, volunteers use 3D scanning and photogrammetry, the description on the website states.
"Scan UA" was founded by architect Serhii Revenko, who is engaged in 3D scanning, and translator Nikita Solopov, responsible for the project's visuals. The goal of the project is to create a digital archive of Ukrainian heritage. According to the initiators, this is needed to raise awareness of the destruction and the need for conservation.
The samples on the photo are named as following: Drone's hit on the Zhylianska street, the Cemetry of destroyed equipment, Kharkiv school №134, Fire department №4, Voznesenska Church, Center of Psychological Rehabilitation, Destroyed BTR, the Ruined library
We would like to remind you that in June, Lviv Now visited a photogrammetry studio “deep3dstudio” that prepared the NFT copies of the destroyed Russian military equipment. The money earned from the initiative is to be directed to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. To read the material, follow the link.
