Forbes Ukraine magazine published a ranking of the 50 best faculties of Ukrainian universities in various fields. The list included faculties of such Lviv universities as the Ukrainian Catholic University, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University. When forming the ranking, Forbes took into account the average NMT score of applicants in 2025, scientific indicators, faculty infrastructure, financial capacity of educational institutions, and the results of a survey of employers regarding the employment of graduates.
Among Lviv universities, UCU received the most positions in the ranking.
The Faculty of Social Sciences took first place among the faculties of humanities and interdisciplinary sciences, the Faculty of Law – second place among the faculties of law and international relations, and the Faculty of Applied Sciences became third among IT faculties.
The ranking also included faculties of Lviv Polytechnic. The Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies took fourth place among STEM faculties, the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technology – fifth among IT faculties, and the Institute of Geodesy became third among faculties of agricultural sciences.
At Ivan Franko National University of Lviv the Law Faculty, which took fifth place, and the Faculty of International Relations – seventh place among the faculties of law and international relations, entered the ranking.
Also, high positions were received by Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University. The university's medical faculties became second among the faculties of medical sciences, the pharmaceutical faculty took third place, and the dental faculty – fourth.
