All European countries should have the right to join NATO, and Ukraine, thanks to wartime innovations and defense industry potential, is an important security element for Europe. This is according to the statement of Sweden's Minister of Defense Pål Jonson, as reported by "European Pravda".

Jonson emphasized that Ukraine must have the opportunity to join the North Atlantic Alliance, arguing this with the contribution of the Ukrainian army and defense industry, which have been strengthened under conditions of full-scale war.

"All European countries must have the right to join NATO if they meet the requirements. No one should have a veto right on this. That is our position", said Jonson.

He admitted that there is currently no unified position among NATO allies regarding Ukraine's membership, but he considers it an important future security element for Europe.

According to the minister, Ukraine has unique defense advantages, including the scale of its Armed Forces, combat experience, and the rapid development of its defense industry.

"Where else in Europe can we find 110 brigades? Where else in Europe can we find such an innovative system that Ukraine has created? Where else can we find such industrial potential?" Jonson asked.

He also noted that Ukraine's defense sector has undergone rapid transformation since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war, particularly through deregulation, opening up competition, and developing private arms production.

Recall that the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Republic, Karel Řehka, stated that Ukraine's future membership in NATO is a "logical step".

At the same time, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte previously stated that the issue of Ukraine's accession is not currently on the agenda due to the lack of consensus among member states, including the positions of Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, and the USA.
