As a result of the massive shelling of the capital on June 2, five medical institutions in three districts of the city were damaged. This is reported reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Consequences of hits on medical infrastructure
According to the Ministry of Health, five medical facilities were damaged and partially destroyed in Kyiv: two specialized institutions, as well as primary healthcare centers in the Podilskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts.
The outpatient clinic No. 5 at 48-A Academician Zabolotnyi Street, which served 20,000 residents of the Holosiivskyi district, was most affected. The second and third floors of the building were completely destroyed. The ministry clarified that at the time of the attack, medical staff and patients were in shelters, so there were no casualties directly at these facilities.
In total, Kyiv became the main target of the Russian attack on June 2. Five people died in the capital, and over 60 were injured, including three children. Damage was recorded in 8 out of 10 city districts, and rescuers worked at 29 locations. In addition to medical facilities, residential buildings (including a nine-story building in the Podilskyi district), DTEK facilities, an academy, a car dealership, and an MFA service center were destroyed.
