In the night of June 15, 2026, as a result of enemy attack, consequences and destruction were recorded at least at seven locations in several districts of Kyiv. Currently, information about one victim has been operationally confirmed. This was reported by the head of KMA VA Timur Tkachenko and the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko.
Shelling aftermath: destruction and fires in the capital's districts
According to Timur Tkachenko, as a result of the strikes, serious damage was recorded in five multi-story residential buildings, as well as in one unfinished residential building. Many windows were broken in various districts of the city, a dormitory building and one private household were partially damaged.
Ignitions and fires occurred at several locations in the capital:
- In the Obolonskyi district: cars caught fire, at another address a non-residential building is on fire, and a fire was also recorded in a multi-story building.
- In the Podilskyi district: a private house is on fire. At another address in the same district, a three-story building caught fire (information about victims there is being clarified).
- In the Pecherskyi district: the mayor of the city, Vitaliy Klitschko, reported a fire on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, where the roof of the Dormition Cathedral is ablaze.

In addition, power lines were damaged due to the enemy attack. Vitaliy Klitschko stated that 140,000 subscribers in the northern part of the capital were left without electricity.
Currently, information about one victim has been confirmed.
Current threat and safety calls
As of now, the threat of ballistic strikes on the capital continues. Also, during the night, the possibility of the enemy using cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) remains. Residents of Kyiv are urged to stay in shelters.
The authorities also ask Kyiv residents not to publish photos and videos of the shelling aftermath in the public domain. It is emphasized that the enemy actively uses open sources to obtain information and further adjust their attacks.
