As a result of today's missile attack by Russian forces in Kyiv, the largest innovative terminal of the "Nova Poshta" company was destroyed. This was reported on his Facebook page by the company's CEO Yevhen Tafiychuk.
Current situation and launch of backup operational schemes
According to the CEO, the sorting center suffered destruction as a result of the hit, but the company managed to avoid casualties among the staff. Currently, all terminal employees are safe.
To ensure uninterrupted parcel delivery, "Nova Poshta" promptly launched backup operational schemes. The company's management also announced their intention to fully restore the damaged infrastructure.
"We will recover. We will build anew. We will make it even better, even more modern, even stronger", emphasized Yevhen Tafiychuk.
Uniqueness of the destroyed sorting center
The destroyed facility was a special sorting center and was the first terminal in Ukraine equipped with the world's most advanced parcel sorting equipment from the international company Vanderlande.
Consequences of the massive attack on Kyiv
According to available information, 5 people died as a result of the strikes in Kyiv, and another 30 residents were injured. Among the injured are a child and a pregnant woman. Nine people were hospitalized, three of whom are in serious condition. Due to damage to power lines, about 140,000 subscribers in the northern part of the city were left without electricity.
In addition to residential buildings, during the night attack, destruction and fires were recorded on the territory of three cultural heritage sites in the capital.
At the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, as a result of the shelling a fire broke out, and the fire damaged the roof of the Assumption Cathedral.A fire occurred on the territory of the Mystetskyi Arsenal, which, according to preliminary data, was caused by the impact of an unmanned aerial vehicle. On the territory of the Dovzhenko Film Studio, the impact led to ignition and damage to the buildings and structures of the film studio. In the costume workshop, the largest and oldest costume collection in Ukraine was completely destroyed, which numbered about 100,000 costumes and 3 million items of various clothing.
