Saint Nicholas Children's Hospital in Lviv received modern medical equipment for the treatment and rehabilitation of severely injured children. This was reported by the press service of the Lviv City Council.
The aid was provided as part of an Italian charitable initiative , thanks to which over 500,000 euros were raised.
As part of the purchase, the hospital received a GMM Symbol FP S mobile digital X-ray surgical C-arm and five modern patient monitors.
"The incredible success of the medals dedicated to Ukraine's resistance reflects an Italy that is in solidarity and remains close to the country that continues to resist", the statement reads.

The received equipment is already being used in the operating rooms of the children's hospital. The C-arm allows obtaining X-ray images during surgeries, which increases the accuracy of interventions for mine-blast injuries and complex fractures. Monitors provide continuous monitoring of patients' vital signs.
In addition, through the further sale of charity medals, it is planned to purchase additional medical equipment for hospitals in Ukraine.
It is noted that the initiative was launched by Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, Poste Italiane, and the 5P Global Foundation. The funds were directed to the needs of Unbroken KIDS in Lviv.
