In Lviv, from July 1, a pilot program was introduced updated parking rules for electric scooters, which stipulate that transport must be left only in specially designated zones, and also fines for violating the established requirements.
In the apps of operators Bolt and e-Wings (scooters of which have already been bought out by the company Uklon and in the near future it is planned to integrate into its service), special markings for parking spaces, marked with the letter "P", have appeared on the map.
When opening the "Scooters" section in the Bolt app, new users are informed about the new rules and fines:
"The city is testing new parking rules. From July 1, new rules for parking electric scooters are being introduced in Lviv, which the city is launching in a pilot mode. In the historical center of Lviv, Bolt scooters can only be left in designated places on the map (P marking). Parking outside these areas will result in a fine of UAH 100", the message reads.

The app also displays restricted zones: when selecting a red area, the user receives a warning that parking a scooter there is prohibited and will result in a fine.

The e-Wings service has a zoning system.

Separately, the company emphasizes that after finishing the ride, scooters should be left in specially designated places or in such a way that they do not obstruct pedestrian and vehicle traffic: "make sure that the scooter left by you does not impede the movement of other road users, does not block entrances and exits, entrances and exits, does not obscure signs and advertising signs."
In case of violation of parking rules, usage, or property damage, fines are foreseen.

We remind you that updated rules for the use of electric scooters have been in effect in Lviv since July 1. The city has introduced a number of requirements for operators, including:
- age verification of users (from 16 years old),
- mandatory use of helmets as a safety element,
- reduction of speed to 15 km/h in accident-prone areas,
- regulation of parking in specially designated zones.
By the way, there is already a memorandum of cooperation between Lviv and rental operators. Thanks to it, the speed of scooters in the city was previously limited to 20 km/h (in some areas - to 15 km/h), 79 official parking locations were equipped, parking in certain zones was prohibited, and scooters were also obliged to be marked with numbers and reflectors.
