The Security Service of Ukraine detained FSB agents who were attempting to liquidate several dozen Ukrainian soldiers by organizing a "charitable" party for them. This was reported reported by the SBU press service.
It is noted that the military counter-intelligence of the Security Service, under the personal coordination of the head of the SBU, Major General Oleksandr Poklad, thwarted a series of terrorist attacks by Russian special services in the Kharkiv region. As a result of a multi-stage special operation, two FSB agents who were preparing the liquidation of Ukrainian soldiers were detained.
As the investigation established, both agents were recruited by the enemy remotely through Telegram channels searching for "easy money." Agreeing to cooperate with the aggressor, they initially carried out test tasks: they photographed and videoed certain objects, and also set fire to a vehicle of the Defense Forces. Later, they involved the agents in an attempt to kill soldiers of the Defense Forces during a "charitable" party, which was actually organized by Russian special services.
According to the case materials, to lure Ukrainian soldiers to the "themed event," these individuals rented a house outside the city and posted invitations to the party on several local Telegram channels.

The SBU states that during the operation, the agents were supposed to add potent substances to drinks, the consumption of which leads to fatal consequences.
It was established that several dozen people agreed to attend the party, most of whom are representatives of the defense forces.
In parallel, the suspects received a task from their curator to manufacture a powerful bomb with a 10 kg explosive charge.
SBU military counterintelligence officers acted preemptively and detained one of the suspects while he was carrying a homemade explosive device (HED) in his backpack. Another agent, a resident of the Kharkiv region, was detained in a rented house where she was synthesizing components for the bomb.
During searches of the suspects, components for HEDs were seized, as well as phones with evidence of working for the enemy, including instructions from the Russian curator regarding other reconnaissance and sabotage missions.
Currently, the detainees, in accordance with the committed crimes, have been notified of suspicion under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 1 of Article 14, Part 2 of Article 258 (terrorist act);
- Part 1 of Article 263 (illegal handling of weapons, combat supplies or explosives).
The defendants have been remanded in custody without the right to bail. The suspects face life imprisonment.
The measures are carried out jointly with investigators of the Kharkiv Directorate of the SBU under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, as well as with the assistance of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police.
