The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted categorically to the statements of the Russian dictator that Ukraine would allegedly be divided in the future, and part of its territories would go to Poland. This was reported on X wrote Polish MFA spokesperson Maciej Wawer.

The issue of territorial integrity was also paramount, the spokesperson for the Polish MFA emphasized:

These statements emerged against the backdrop of Putin stating the previous day during communication with the military that Ukraine "sooner or later will lose its western territories." The main argument in his narrative was that the western part of Ukraine was allegedly a gift from Joseph Stalin."Stalin gifted these lands to Ukraine. But he gifted them within a single state. Apparently, it did not occur to him that such a situation as today might arise... I am confident that sooner or later Ukraine will lose these western lands. And what belonged to Poland, Hungary, Romania, sooner or later – maybe not tomorrow, not the day after tomorrow, a year, two, 10, 15 – but everything will historically fall into place," Putin stated.

He also claimed that Vladimir Lenin transferred Donbas to Ukraine, and now Russia, according to him, is "returning everything to its normal historical course."
