Lviv will host the presentation of the book "Night Without Worries" – a special publication created by children who were forced to leave their homes due to the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The event will take place on September 2 at 6:00 PM at America House Lviv (2 Hnatyuk Street).

The illustrations for the book are drawings by children who lived in the JRS Ukraine shelter. The fairy tales, inspired by these drawings, were written by teenagers from Lviv. They tried to empathize with the children's work, understand their experiences and dreams, and see the world through their eyes.

The organizers note that this is a project about children who, despite what they have experienced, continue to dream, create, make friends, and learn to trust the world again.

During the presentation, guests will be able to get acquainted with the book, see the original children's works, and hear more about the story of its creation.

There will also be a discussion with Ivanka Krypiakevych-Dymyd, an artist, icon painter, and mother of 5 children, on how not to clip children's wings.

They add that the presentation of "Night Without Worries" will be an opportunity to talk not only about what war takes away from children, but also about what helps them remain children, and is a testament to the importance of a safe space for both teenagers and children.

The event is organized by Jesuit Refugee Service in Ukraine, America House, and the Healing of Wounds of the War in Ukraine Fund.
