Russian military forces have been striking Kyiv Oblast for the second consecutive day, with civilian objects coming under drone attack - private and apartment buildings, warehouses, cars, and enterprises. This was reported by reported head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Timur Tkachеnko.
Consequences of the shelling and scale of destruction in the region
According to the head of the RMA, Timur Tkachenko, 14 warehouses, 16 private households, 3 apartment buildings, and 16 vehicles were damaged in the region. Destruction was recorded in Fastiv, Boryspil, Vyshhorod, Brovary, and Bucha districts.
In the village of Sviatopetrivske, Bila Tserkva community, Russians struck Nova Poshta warehouses and a nearby production facility, as informed by informed community head Anton Ovsiyenko.
The Nova Poshta press service confirmed that as a result of the night attack on August 28 in Kyiv Oblast, an enemy drone completely destroyed the company's sorting depot. All employees remained alive.
Elimination of fire consequences and a second strike
The State Emergency Service notedthat rescuers have been eliminating the consequences of the attack in Kyiv Oblast all night and morning.
Specifically, in the Bucha district, emergency workers are working at several locations where fires of warehouse buildings and vehicles broke out due to drone strikes. At one of the locations, a second enemy UAV strike occurred while rescuers were working. After reconnaissance, emergency workers continued their work, localized the fire in the warehouse building, and liquidation efforts are ongoing.
