This news comes as Budapest-based Wizz Air cancels seven routes to Europe, suggesting a touristic and business turn toward the east.
It will be possible to fly from Lviv to Kuwait four times a week, and from Lviv to Riyadh – two times a week. In addition, the State Aviation Service allowed SkyUp to increase the frequency of flights Lviv-Bahrain (from two to five times a week).
During Summer 2021, there was a noticeable presence of Saudi Arabians in Lviv, including a site rarely seen before in this western Ukrainian city: many women completely veiled except for their eyes. The state department also allowed SkyUp to operate flights from Kyiv to Dushanbe (Tajikistan). They will be performed twice a week. And the frequency of flights from Kyiv to Bahrain has increased, so now there will be six instead of two.
The airline has already announced that in the summer season of 2022, it is going to operate flights to 30 countries on more than 100 routes from Kyiv and the regions.
We will remind you that the airline opened SkyUp sale of tickets for the summer season. Flights will start in late March. You can already buy tickets to Austria, Spain and Greece.
