Queues at the western border are gradually shrinking. Thus, at the Shehyni checkpoint it starts from Mostyska, and in total there are about 1,800 cars in it. This was announced by Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Yurii Buchko.
According to him, the best way to cross the border is at Krakovets. At the gates of the pedestrian crossing crowds are visible. The queue from the car stretches for 7 kilometers. As for the Rava-Ruska checkpoint, there is a queue of 70-100 people at the gates of the pedestrian crossing and a 10-kilometer queue of cars.
In total, almost 50,000 people were checked out at checkpoints in the Lviv region in a day, and more than 200,000 since the beginning of the war. The Lviv Regional State Administration also called on those who travel by their own vehicles to make a stop in Lviv so as not to create crowds.
It will be recalled that the Lviv region is opening additional pedestrian crossings on the border with Poland. To speed up the crossing of the border for mothers, children and the elderly, additional pedestrian crossings are organized at the Nyzhankovychi-Malchowice and Varyazh-Usmeż checkpoints. Transport will bring people from Lviv to Nyzhankovychi. In addition, more than 30,000 migrants have already arrived in the Lviv region and almost 100,000 residents have left for Poland.
