Saboteurs were detained in Lviv on 26 February. Three men, in particular, were hiding in the basement. All of them recently arrived from the capital and could not explain the purpose. They had weapons, knives and money with them.
In another case, a man driving a car of a security company appeared suspicious to Lviv residents. Patrolmen found a pistol with signal cartridges and ammunition. He could not explain anything and was also drunk.
At the end of one of the remote districts of Lviv, the locals noticed a man disguised as a homeless person. Numerous maps and records were found with him. An attentive citizen noticed an unknown man photographing the checkpoint. He reported it to the police. Patrolmen found a man’s passport with signs of forgery and more than a dozen photos of the checkpoint from different angles.
All these people were detained. Relevant services work with them and thank to the citizens for their vigilance.
At the same time, Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi called on the city residents to patrol the city. According to him, everyone who has a weapon should be ready, and those who do not have one should make Molotov cocktail or «Bandera smoothie».
»We are starting a patrol in the city of Lviv. People must be distributed and registered in each district administration. There are clear maps of patrol routes. It will operate 24/7 and protect important facilities in the city and on the borders of our community,» – Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi said.
Also in the Lviv region, on 26 February, search teams found and eliminated more than forty marks that were applied as points for enemy strikes. Also, all suspects are detained and sent to special centres to check documents.
We will remind that in Lviv, checkpoints are set up at the city’s entrance and exit. In Lviv, residents together with law enforcement officers find various marks on asphalt, trees, and even on balconies and roofs of houses. Law enforcement officers ask to inform about suspicious marks and movements of the enemy. In addition, you should report if you notice suspicious people or cars on line 102.
Citizens are also asked to report about the saboteurs to a special official chatbot @stop_russian_war_bot. The bot receives and transmits information to the appropriate response headquarters. You can also send information in personal messages to the telegram account @stop_russian_war, according to the SBU department in the Lviv region.
Oleksii Reznikov, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, declared the day before that Russia is trying to change its tactics. Occupying troops are shelling residential neighbourhoods, hospitals, and educational institutions. As the rapid offensive with large columns failed, Russia started to use sabotage and reconnaissance groups and landing forces more actively. Residents of all cities are urged to report suspects.

Take a few thick-walled bottles – preferably champagne or scotch tape. Prepare a base of two-thirds of gasoline and one-third of engine oil. Prepare a wick of 50 cm of cotton cloth, which should be tightly inserted into the neck of the bottle.
Pour two-thirds of the combustible mixture into the bottle and leave one-third of the volume to evaporate (these evaporates are needed for the cocktail to explode). Close the bottle tightly with a wick. Possible additives: silver steel (increases the combustion temperature), polystyrene (dissolve in acetone and pour into a bottle), dishwashing liquid (for density).
