At the XXIV Winter Olympic Games, which will take place from 4 to 20 February 2022 in the Chinese capital, Beijing, seven athletes will represent Lviv, according to the city’s Sports Department.

In particular, Anton Dukach, Olena Stetskiv, Ihor Stakhiv, Olena Smaha, Andriy Lysetsky (all of them in sledding), Pavlo Bal and Vasyl Kravchuk (skiing/biathlon) will go to the Olympic Games from Lviv.
Within the framework of the Program for Support of Athletes Applicants for Participation in the XXIV Olympic Winter Games and XIII Paralympic Winter Games from March 2021 to February 2022, seven Lviv athletes receive UAH 10,000 per month.
We will remind you that the XXXII Olympic Games were held in Tokyo (Japan). Following the results of the competition, three Lviv athletes won medals: cyclist Olena Starikova won «silver», and wrestler Alla Cherkasova and karate player Stanislav Goruna won «bronze». For the «silver» and two «bronze» medals won by Lviv athletes, each of them was to receive an apartment from the mayor’s office.
