At educational institutions in Lviv, teenagers will be able to visit daily courses on how to handle weapons safely. At the same time, students in final grades 9-11 will be instructed in the basics of practical shooting. This is done in order to help children from all schools acquire basic skills, according to Lviv City Council’s Department of Education.
«They are provided with the relevant safety briefings and all necessary equipment. The goal is that all high school students learn how to handle weapons,» – the statement reads.

In total, 20 educational institutions in Lviv have special facilities, shooting ranges, where it’s possible to conduct training in shooting. Accordingly, students from nearby schools will attend these shooting ranges and gain practical skills.
It will be recalled that the Law of Ukraine «On the Fundamentals of National Resistance» came into force on 1 January. In order to enlist in the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces, residents can apply to the district staffing and social support centre at the place of registration.
