Which countries did Ukrainians visit the most this year?

The State Border Guard Service has published a list of countries where Ukrainians most often traveled during the first half of this year.

Despite the quarantine restrictions and the reduction of passenger traffic, border guards note that the number of trips of Ukrainian citizens to some countries has increased significantly. At the same time, the number of foreigners arriving in Ukraine is increasing.

Poland remains the leading destination for Ukrainians: 1.9 million people traveled in the first half of the year. Then Turkey – 774,000 people, which is six times more than in the first half of last year. In third place is Egypt with a double increase and a total of more than 705,000 trips by Ukrainian citizens.

These are followed by: Hungary (671,000), Russia (371,000), Romania (293,000), Belarus (114,000), Slovakia (112,000), Moldova (106,000).

As for foreign citizens who most often crossed the Ukrainian border in the first six months of this year, the largest increase is observed among the citizens of the Republic of Turkey – 29% more than last year. The number of German tourists also increased by 6%.

In general, in the first place among the people who mostly visited Ukraine: Moldova (368,000), then Russia (198,000), Romania (109,000), Belarus (96,000), Poland (77,000), Hungary (75,000), Germany (39,000), USA (34,000).
