Police detained a man who shooted in a restaurant in the centre of Lviv
The 39-year-old Lviv resident says he fired shots to create content for the social network.

Patrol police in Lviv detained a man who had fired shots for fun in a catering establishment located in the city center. Police officers received a call about the shooting in Rynok Square last night. According to the press service of the Lviv regional patrol police, an unknown person fired three shots using an object resembling a pistol and walked down Krakivska street. No one was injured as a result of the shots.

After inspecting the surrounding area, the crew found a similar man near the monument to Danylo Halytskyi. He turned out to be a 39-year-old resident of Lviv. The man said he had a starting pistol with blank cartridges. He also added that he fired shots to create content on the social network, and also admitted that he drank alcohol before.

The police found out that the man is now engaged in the case under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code (Hooliganism committed with the use of firearms, melee weapons or other objects specially adapted or pre-prepared for infliction of bodily harm).

He was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The offender is currently being held in a temporary detention center.
