Joseph Lawler, an American journalist, is policy editor of the Washington Examiner, in the District of Columbia. He visited Lviv and western Ukraine in September.

What did you like about Lviv?

«I loved the walkability and the beautiful architecture, neighborhoods, and parks.»

What surprised or challenged you about Lviv?

«No huge surprises or challenges, other than that you are not automatically served water at restaurants. Although I will say it surprised me to learn afterward that there was a big concentration camp right in the city.»
