Here’s a listing of some of the Holy Services in the Greek Catholic and Orthodox temples of Lviv.

During 6-7 January, Christmas services with carols will take place in the churches of Lviv. Of particular note, the Garrison Church – see below – will have a 15:00 English liturgy on Christmas Day, 7 January.

Schedule of services in the cathedrals of Lviv for the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church:

The Greek Catholic Church, though self-governing and eastern Orthodox in calendar and style (e.g., with married priests, and an eastern liturgy) is in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church, meaning western Catholics can fully partake in Greek Catholic liturgies. The Orthodox schedules appear after the Greek ones below:

22:30 – Episcopal Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom (headed by His Eminence Volodymyr, Auxiliary Bishop of the Lviv Archdiocese). Giving myrrh.

January 7 Christmas of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ

8:00 – Hierarch’s Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom (headed by His Eminence IGOR, Metropolitan of Lviv). Rest.

11:00 – Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom at every request.

16:00 – Vespers.
