As of today, March 1, the sale of alcoholic beverages has been completely banned in Lviv. This was announced by Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi.

«Given the tensions at the front, the sale of alcoholic beverages is completely banned in Lviv as of today. Martial law does not provide for any discussions in making such decisions. Anyone who violates this order will be held accountable before the law, «he said in a statement on Facebook.

According to Sadovyi, this applies to shops and chains, as well as catering establishments.

«Our army is at war with the occupier, and airstrikes are falling on our cities. We will celebrate after the victory! «, – he added

It will be recalled that the sale of alcohol in shops and public catering establishments was banned in Lviv yesterday from 6:00 pm to 12:00 pm. Then, the mayor Andrii Sadovyi explained that they could not ban it completely, because there could be a shadow market that would not be controlled.
