Early this morning, British Prime Minister Borys Johnson spoke with Ukrainian President Zelenskyi about the difficult situation at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, where the Russians set fire. Both leaders agreed that Russia should immediately stop the attack on the power plant and allow unimpeded access of emergency services to the power plant. This was reported in the office of the British Prime Minister.

The prime minister said President Putin’s reckless actions could now threaten the security of the whole of Europe. According to him, the United Kingdom will do everything possible to prevent the situation from deteriorating. The Prime Minister said that he would seek an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in the coming hours, and that Britain would immediately raise this issue with Russia and its close partners.

We will add that last night in Enerhodar, occupiers fired at a Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. ZNPP Deputy General Director Ihor Murashov wrote that nuclear safety at the station has been violated and reactors are in danger. The fire was localized at 5:55 a.m. and extinguished at 6:20 a.m. According to preliminary data, no one was injured. Also IAEA received the information from Ukraine that fire on the station didn’t influence the «critical equipment».
