Luhansk Region

In total, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled seven enemy attacks on our part of the front (the Bakhmut direction) over the past day, without allowing a single breakthrough. The Russians also attacked twice from the air, fired five rockets at populated areas and our fortifications, four times tank units went into battle. The barrel and rocket artillery of the enemy does not stop firing. Last night alone, the enemy tried 12 times to fire from this weapon.

Donetsk Region

At night, Kostyantynivka was shelled and the building of Ukrainian Association of the Blind was destroyed. Air strike on Toretsk. No victims. Also at night, the occupiers shelled the villages Bakhmutka, Zhovanka, Mayorsk, Kodema, Pisky-2. There is no connection in all settlements. Two residential buildings in Zhovanka and two commercial buildings were destroyed, and a commercial building at Majorsk. There was no information about the injured and the dead.

Isolated shelling of Avdiivka from barrel artillery and mortars. In the morning around 05:30 intensification of shelling on positions. There were no reports of civilian casualties.

During the night there was isolated shelling of Soledar. At 6:30 a.m., shelling of the village resumed. Yakovlivka, Bakhmutske and the vicinity of Soledar. Information about victims and damage is being clarified.

During the day, artillery, S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, Hurricane surface-to-air missile defense systems, mortars, and an Unguided air missile hit the populated areas of Donetsk region. 8 residential buildings, 2 cars, a warehouse, and a dormitory were damaged. During the day, 7 civilians were killed and 13 wounded in the region. The region remains without gas and partly without water and electricity. Evacuation of the population continues.

Kharkiv Region

During the past day, the Chuhuiv, Kharkiv, Bohodukhiv districts were shelled. Access to open territory and the private sector. In one of the villages, a private house was destroyed and one person was injured. Also, a tractor driver blew up a mine while working in the field on a tractor.

Dnipropetrovsk Region

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the enemy struck again in the Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih districts. Nikopol district was fired upon three times during the night. In Nikopol, 9 private houses, solar panels, and power lines were damaged. No casualties.

The Russians hit the Marganets community with «Hrads» and barrel artillery. No damage or casualties.

Several houses and a gas pipeline were damaged in Apostolove community of Kryvyi Rih district. People were not affected.

Mykolayiv Region

Tonight, Mykolaiv once again came under massive rocket fire. It is known beforehand that the enemy struck the city with S-300 missiles. No casualties. Damage information is being updated.

On August 19, during the day, the enemy shelled the Pervomaisk community. In the evening, the hits were outside the village. Kostyantynivka, mainly in open areas. There are no casualties.

Yesterday during the day and tonight – shelling of the village Shyroke. Three residential buildings were damaged. Also yesterday evening, the village was shelled. Polyana hits were mainly in open areas. There are no casualties.

The shelling of the territory and nearby settlements of the Berezneguvate community continues. Information on victims and damage is being clarified.

Kherson Region

In general, the situation remains difficult. In addition to daily hostilities, air raids and the destruction of infrastructure facilities, psychological and physical pressure continues on the territory of the Kherson region with new cases of kidnapping every day. The opening of the «Social pension card» project was announced by the occupiers in the Kherson region. The first cards are promised to be issued to pensioners, and the occupiers plan to transfer pensions to them. On the territory of the region, the Russians are trying to remove the hryvnia from circulation, they are seizing terminals, prohibiting the work of market «money changers», demanding to sell goods in two currencies.

The Kremlin needs two Russian Nord Stream gas pipelines to Europe bypassing Ukraine solely for blackmail.

Russia is blackmailing the world both by blowing up the captured Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and by supplying gas to Europe.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his evening address on August 19.

«Of course, today it is worth paying attention to another aspect of Russian blackmail in the field of energy. Gas supplies to Germany through the first Nord Stream are again being limited, and absurd statements are being made again that something can be compensated through Nord Stream 2.» These «flows» are needed by Russia exclusively in order to supply problems to Europe, and not to help someone there with gas. Now it is absolutely obvious,» Zelensky said.

The President emphasized that «the longer the terrorist state remains on the European and world energy market, the longer it will not be stable. And the sooner everyone in Europe prepares their energy systems to exist without any supply of energy carriers from Russia, the sooner they will be able to calmly survive any winter.»
