Studying in Lviv schools will traditionally begin on September 1. Each school and class will separately determine the format in which schoolchildren will start the new academic year, but there will be restrictions, including no celebrations and gatherings of pupils. Andrii Zakaliuk, the head of the Lviv City Council’s education department, reported this in a comment to Lviv Now.

«We plan to start the training in an offline format, that is, the children must definitely meet. We are supporters of the class teacher bringing the children together so that they have a common interesting time. It’s not necessary to immediately start with lessons: you can jointly solve organizational issues, security issues, inspect the shelter. It’s on the discretion of the educational institution itself or the class, to decide in which format the first day of school will take place. Of course, there will be restriction: no festive events and gatherings of children,» – he says.
