On December 25, some believers in Ukraine celebrated Christmas according to the Gregorian calendar. Since the beginning of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion, Ukrainian society initiated the transition to a new style of celebration. Ukraine sees this as another step towards distancing itself from everything Russian. The General Staff of the Armed Forces showed how Ukrainian defenders celebrate Christmas on the front lines.

We will remind you that most Ukrainians has traditionally celebrated Christmas on January 7, according to the Julian calendar. Here is our last year's story about the possibility to synchronize the Ukrainian traditions with the western world.
