In Lviv and the Lviv region, almost all electrical substations were destroyed due to missile attacks by the Russian occupiers. Also, a number of other objects in the city were damaged and cannot be restored. This was reported by the Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi in an interview with RBK-Ukraine.

«We have almost all electrical substations within Lviv and the region destroyed, so electricity supply is a big problem. But our electricians find non-standard, clever solutions - industry and these institutions, which are supposed to provide the city, are working,»- he says.

Sadovyi also added that many other critical infrastructure facilities were destroyed in the city and region. Most of them can no longer be repaired, so they must be rebuilt from scratch.

Nevertheless, the power outage schedules have not been applied in Lviv and the Lviv region since Sunday, February 12. Ukrainian energy company Ukrenergo explained that there's no deficit in Ukrainian energy system and the power generation facilities produce enough electricity for the country's needs.

We will remind you that the hourly schedules were introduced after the Russian attack on Ukrainian energy facilities on October 31, and since then have become a daily practice in Ukraine.
