In Irpin, a comprehensive restoration of damaged and destroyed private houses near the Irpin Lipki residential complex has begun, according to Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

More than 300 residents who lived there were left homeless.

The overhaul project involves the restoration of 31 houses. They will have their windows, doors, fences, and roofs replaced, their facades thermally modernized, and street lighting installed.

City authorities will dismantle the destroyed houses and build 30 more low-rise apartments. These will be houses with an area of 70 to 180 m². The Kyiv RMA[Regional Military Administration] promises to build houses according to the principle of «building better than it was.»

The mayor of Irpin added that they launched the project as part of the reconstruction program of private houses in the Kyiv region for residents who lost their homes due to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops.

He noted that the program involves the construction of 30 new houses on the site of the destroyed houses and the overhauling of 31 buildings.

«In addition, we will repair the road from the intersection of Gostomel Highway and Severinovska Streets to the bridge over the Buchanka River,» the mayor said.

As a reminder, the pre-war population of Irpin returns to their homes – 85% of residents have already returned.
