On February 8, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom and former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, met in Lviv with the Father and Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav (Shevchuk), and attended a session of the Senate of the Ukrainian Catholic University.

During a meeting with students, Zaluzhnyi stated that “victory will come when russia crumbles into 27, or better yet, 69 principalities.”

“Victory will come when russia crumbles into 27, or better yet, 69 principalities, but before that, someone must take away their nuclear weapons. But is the world ready for this? – The world is not ready for this. I am certain that an empire has its own reserve of strength. Eventually, this will all come to an end.”

Valerii Zaluzhnyi emphasized that until a coalition is formed in the world to stop the axis of evil (russia – Ed.), there can be no talk of ending the war and achieving a just peace:

“Today, Ukraine, bleeding but miraculously continuing to fight against the axis of evil, stands alone. There is no alliance, no coalition in the world. Until one is created, we will not destroy this axis of evil. We failed to stop a regional war, and now we are facing a global war that must be addressed on a global level. We must rely on ourselves, on God, and on our partners. We are a nation with our own language, history, and culture, and we cannot simply perish.”

Speaking about NATO, Valerii Zaluzhnyi stated that it has long ceased to be a military alliance:

"Unfortunately, NATO as a military institution has no real power. NATO primarily serves the political interests of its member states."
