Near the village of Matsoshyn in the Lviv district, a man's body was found in a drainage canal. This was reported by the Department of Civil Protection of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
The incident occurred on March 21 at around 5:15 p.m. The body of a 59-year-old local resident was found in the ditch.
The fire and rescue unit of the State Emergency Service pulled the drowning victim to the shore and handed him over to police officers.

By the way, a drainage canal is an artificially dug ditch used to drain excess water from fields or, conversely, to supply water where it is lacking.
