Lviv residents are contacting the City Hotline with a question as to why the validity of the electronic ticket in the LeoCard app was shortened to three minutes. This is related to a recent decision of the executive committee on the temporary suspension of free transfers in public transport.
“In order to prevent an increase in the fare, the conditions for the e-ticket's operation have been temporarily changed in Lviv. In particular, until April 11, the possibility of free transfers in public transport has been suspended. Therefore, 3 minutes remain for ticket validation,” — the city's press service explained.

Note: after purchasing a ticket in the LeoCard app, the passenger has three minutes to validate it in the vehicle they are traveling in. After this, the ticket will be displayed in the app with the inscription 'Expired', however, during an inspection, controllers scan it and see that it was validated.
Note that previously, the electronic ticket was valid for 40 minutes, which allowed passengers to make a free transfer between different types of public transport. The decision to cancel this service was made due to the increase in fuel prices and will be reviewed on April 11.
As a reminder, in addition to canceling transfers, the city council introduced a number of other changes regarding the functioning of public transport.
